Cookies
A cookie is a small data file that many Web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information, such as a user ID, which the site then uses to track the pages you've visited. Many users are concerned about security and privacy risks associated with cookies. Some of these concerns are based on a misunderstanding of the way that cookies work. For instance, a server can only ask the browser to store information that is already available to the server; it cannot access the user's hard disk or obtain the user's login name, e-mail address, or current directory unless the user deliberately supplies this information. Cookie data is never "executed" in any way by the client machine, so cannot be used to create viruses or destructive programs. Because each cookie is limited to 4K (name plus value combined) and each site is limited to 20 cookies, cookies cannot be used to fill up a user's disk. Although early systems had flaws in this regard, current browsers do not transmit cookies to sites other than the ones that either set the cookie or are in the domain of the site that set the cookie. So rogue sites cannot read or modify cookies from other sites.
ANSIR® Cookies
This site uses cookies for only one reason - to pass participant information from one page to another as part of the ANSIR® experience. While cookies help with the function of this site, they are never associated with anything that could be used to identify you. In keeping with our policy to respect privacy above-all, this is not a dated or permanent cookie, like other sites use. When users log-on to the ANSIR® Websites, the cookie is activated so they can access their own information and participate in Member Only features specific to their membership level. When they leave either site and shut down their browser, our cookie crumbles and disappears.
3rd Party Cookies
The ANSIR® Web sites not supported through advertising.
Security
To prevent outside tampering, data is stored in a protected directory in the Web server. Only key ANSIR® personnel have authority to access the information, which is treated as highly confidential. Our pledge to you is that such information is never meant to be given to a third party.
Your log-in information is password-protected to prevent unauthorized access to your Member profile. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone.
Transactions
Our online order forms use Internet Secure to provide secure and encrypted transactions. Internet Secure is a corporation approved by the international banking industry, and has specialized in secure credit card transactions on the Internet since 1996. As a result, ANSIR® does not maintain financial records of its Members. More information about Internet Secure and their own privacy and security features can be found by clicking here.
Children's Guidelines
ANSIR® Communications Inc. is committed to the wellbeing of children. It is our belief that the 3 Sides of You® personality profile is an adult assessment and beyond the intelligence grasp of most children. Teenagers who take the test are treated as any other participant with the same security measures and protections as stated above. Information from children under 13 is never knowingly collected or maintained at our Website, and no part of our Web site is structured to attract anyone under 13 years of age.
